    Skill Builds Empty Skill Builds

Post by Chozo 17/8/2009, 12:03 pm

Specifically I'm looking for infighter builds after the patch. But its there a website or something that has builds for the various class before and after the patches?

This is DFO. You're asking for a guide because you don't really see some, right? That's because people don't exactly bother sharing builds. Everybody has different builds. Some may have this skill maxed while others have it on its first level.

I'd say to just watch Youtube videos and see the skills that the players have (more helpful if they're high leveled). Then go here & just read the skills. But I don't know if this page was made before or after the patch, but better than nothing.

Most of the ones I find are pre-patch. I just don't want to mess up to bad because i don't know if there is a way to reset my sp.

    Trial and error.

Create. Skill char. Delete (or buy a skill reset).

Might be doing that a lot though...

Important for me to take the right choices as well with my limited playtime (had 20 min today T_T)
Anyway, maybe I'll wait some days to check if people got any suggestions after the Open Beta.
Edit: OB... wonder if that can be an acronym for Obese Bertha... would be a gigantic gun.

Look up a list of skills, find a video of the skills being used, and think about which skills will fit your playing style. The great thing about DFO is that everyone isn't forced into a cookie cutter build, unlike maple story where if you don't add your skills in the exact order everyone else does your told you suck.

I'll just wait 3 days after the OB and then ask the forum. During that time I would probably get some detailed information.

Thx For Reading My Guide its my 1st off all and Sry For My english xD

    I'm
going to add my 2 cent in here because this build looks like a
post-patch Infighter after receiving the skill update. It's missing A
LOT OF FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS, especially for a post patch Infighter.Skills you must have:Ducking
and Swaying + the cancels: If you don't have these, delete your
character now. These two moves are the trademarks of the Infighter and
also are their way of getting in and out of combat in both PVE and PVP.
Ducking moves you foward and Sway moves you backward.
Rebound/Quick-Standing: You'll need this for every class. Makes
you get up faster and also gives you invincibility frames for a few
seconds as you hold "C"The Mastery passives + 1: Since
this is the updated Infighter you will have 5 Mastery passives that you
can max at 10. Each one grants a juicy addition to your attacks and
others will buffer them. It's a good idea to max at least 2 out of the
five passives to make your Infighter beefier in combat.
Battle Aura Mastery: This mastery extends the Infighters hit
range. This is very useful as at higher levels it will also add a long
hit range for both Sidewind and Gorgeous Combination. At level 7 you'll
be able to reap the benefits of having your normals, Sidewind, and
Gorgeous Combination having a longer reach. Technical Mastery:
This mastery makes you move faster by a bit, increases the range of
Machine Gun Jab, and also shortens the time Holy Counter will be
activated. In addition to that it will allow you to use Cancel-Ducking
skills in combination with Swaying-Skills. Ex: You can only use the
skill Body-Blow when you go into the ducking animation, but with levels
into Technical Mastery you'll be able to use Body-Blow while swaying as
well and vice-versa. At level 7 you'll reap all the benefits by being
able to use Swaying and Ducking Skills and also gives Machine Gun Jab a
vaccumm effect that can keep mobs with in the range of the skill. Corkscrew
Mastery: This mastery increases the damage on both Ducking Straight,
Ducking Upper, and Gorgeous Combination. It also adds an additional hit
for all 3 skills affected by it. At level 7 you'll unlock all the extra
hits for each skill.Combination Mastery: This mastery increases
the damage on both SideWind and Machine Gun Jab. It also unlocks an
extra hit in the Infighter's normal combo string, adds an extra hit for
Sidewind that drags the enemy towards you for more combo maddness, and
a extra hit for Machine Gun Jab that hits them into the air. At level 7
you'll unlock all the benefits.Hard Punch Master: This mastery
gives super armor effects and higher critical rate for Lucky Straight,
Body Blow, Chopping Hammer, and Heavenly Combination. To get all the
effects for the skills you'll need to max it.Quick Parry: This
is the other passive Infighters get. It increases the dodge rate of all
of the infighter's move so you won't be interuptted while doing them.
The Active Skills Pre-Patch:Now on to the juicy
part. Infighters after the patch get a few nice additions to there very
small arsenal, and I'll go through them. I'll also list the
pre-requisites for all the skills and list all post-patch skills after.
Will Driver: This is the other trademark of this class. Upon
class change this skill is automatically learned and maxed. This takes
the Infigther's current weapon and puts it into the ground to create an
area buff or debuff depending on what weapon type he is using. Axe
gives more hit-stun, Totem gives more attack speed, and Scythe gives
move speed.Smasher: The Infighter's grab skill. Grabs a monster
and drags them to one direction and throws them. Like all grabs it will
break super armor. You will need this at level 5 to access SideWind.Lucky
Straight: The Infighter's homage to the Falcon Punch. Basically a
straight punch that drags a good distance. You need level 5 to unlock
Gorgeous Combination.Second Upper: Upon doing a dash attack, it
will add an extra hit that uppercuts the monster in the air for combo
setups. It's good to have it at 1 and leave it alone for the purposes
of the extra hit it adds to your dash attack. Need level 1 for
    Hurricane of Judgement.
Ducking Straight: It's the same as Lucky Straight but you use it
when you are doing the Ducking animation. Level 1, level 5, or max it.Ducking
Upper: Do an Uppercut out of the Ducking animation. Works the same way
as any other skill that has an uppercut animation. Level 1, level 5, or
max it. You need 1 for Hurricane of Judgement.
Ducking Body Blow: Does a dashing gut punch that causes stun.
The higher the level the longer the hit stun and the higher the damage.
Great Skill. Level 1, level 5, or max it.Gorgeous Combination:
Infighter does a very strong three hit combo without the mastery. This
move can be charged so you can delay each hit while causing move damage
when each one hits. A very good skill to have. You need level 5 to
unlock Heavenly Combination and Hurricane Roll/Dempsy Roll, it's a good
idea to max this guy.Chopping Hammer: This is the only swaying
skill, but it's a very good one. Dashes foward and pounds the ground
HARD. Causes a shockwave, anything getting hit by the strike will get
heavy damage and anything near it will bounce up in the air. Another
good skill to have. Level 1, level 5, or max it. You'll need level 5
    for the Awakening Active Skill.
Holy Counter: As the name implies. Infighters will make a cross
on his chest and anything that hits him during the animation will get
very hard for heavy damage. A tricky little skill, but it's not bad to
have. Level 1, level 5, or max it.Hurricane of Judgment: The
infghter hits the air and causes a tornado to come out that chases down
all the monsters in the map. It's a decent skil and can be very
annoying in pvp. Level 1, level 5, or max it.Shadow Boxer +
Passive: Infighters invoke a shadow clone that will mimic all his moves
and will cause the Infighter to hit 2 times instead of once. With the
passive it will add another shadow that will let the Infighter hit 3
times. You need level 5 to get the passive.Hurricane Roll/Dempsy
Roll: Infighter goes into a boxing stance and begins to do a chain
punch combo that sucks in near by monsters and does a ton of hits
before one more hit that launches them. One of the few crowd control
options they have. Level 1, level 5, or max it.Active Skills Post-Patch:Here are the skills that were added after the update. Divine Crush: Infighter crouches a bit and punches the ground for a
small shockwave and does damage to downed opponents. It's up to you, If
you like it level it. Remember either have level 1, level 5, or max it.SideWind:
Infighter does a standing straight jab that has a far reach that slight
pulls the monster in. You'll need it at level 5 to unlock Machin Gun
Jab. The cancel is optional and it's up to you. Leave it at 5 or max it.Machine
Gun Jab: A very popular skill. The infighter does a ton of rapid
punches DBZ-style in front of him that can juggle mobs in the air.
    Level 1, level 5, or max it.Heavenly Combination: Does a 5 hit
super armor combo that lifts the opponent up into the air for more
setups. You'll need level 5 to unlock the Awakening Active Skill. The Awakening Active and Passive:World's
Strongest Punch/Big Bang Punch: It is a four hit combo that has to be
charged and timed correctly to trigger the final punch which is a giant
straight punch. For pvp leave it at 1, for PVE level it how ever you
want.Dryout: It is the awakening passive. Works in the same way
as the Striker's MuscleShift buff, it allows Infighter to cancel from
skill to another, cuts down on MP usage and lowers cooldown. It's up to
you, you are given 1 level free after awakening at 48.Other class skills:None.
After the Infighter update the sp becomes EXTREMELY tight, so it's
better off to not even bother with anything else besides
QuickStand/Rebound. I beefed up the guide for you. I
also hope this gives you more insight into what Infighters are capable
of. I'd also like to recommend to go with a build you feel comfortable
with the most than thinking one skill build is good. What one person
thinks of their build might be different from someone else. The beauty
of this game is that most of the skills are good to use and it does not
punish you later on if you choose something over the other.

Hope this helps a bit, but essentially it's to your own oppinion and restraints what you want to build. Like myself im using a controller and I have to focus more on passives because I only have so many buttons to use, but find what works and have fun, no point in stressing about it.
So sayith your lord and savior PapaSmurf.

Depends, I prefer using the controller, for comfort reasons, using the keyboard would involve me playing this for non leisure which would defeat the purpose for me playing this game in the first place.

@PapaSmurf: Primal Rage (^w^) or Bloody Rage (o_O) one of those.

@ PapaSmurf: You talking about the console on the actual arcades?

Act 3 is the patch for priest as we have seen in Arad Senki, btw.

All depends on playing style...whether keyboard or joystick(eww)/gamepad whatever.
