Does anyone play Tennis?
I started playing tennis for overe a month now. Started June 1st. Took like over 7 lessons now. People said I play way too good for only 1 month player. That's because I took 4 hours practice a day, trying to get in tennis team by the time school start.

Re: Does anyone play Tennis?
I've always wanted to play tennis; it looks fun.
The only time I think I played tennis was when I was around 6 and my dad was holding the racket with me, teaching me how to hit the tennis ball.
I barely remember it now.

Re: Does anyone play Tennis?
IT is pretty fun! But hard sport, take so much technique. Takes years of training to get somewhere

Re: Does anyone play Tennis?
Very fun, and VERY hard if you start late.
If you're like me: been doing wrong backhands and serves his whole life, then figure out the real technique and realize how screwed up you play; then it becomes hard.
But the most important thing is: when practicing, don't get frustrated else you'll keep playing worse and worse. Stay focused and you will play to the best of your ability.

Re: Does anyone play Tennis?
Tennis is hard... and I always end up throwing the racket somewhere.
Tried a couple of times, but I always have to give up.
Suppose it lies in my genes to be terrible at sports.

Re: Does anyone play Tennis?
Everything take practice. Other sport may seem easily be done by any person but that doesnt mean it is easy, it only mean that the PRO will make the game harder to play.

Re: Does anyone play Tennis?
You should try practicing on a wall, many tennis courts have a wall with a a white line painted where the net is supposed to be. Hit the ball lightly and after a few days I'm sure you'll do fine.

Re: Does anyone play Tennis?
I'm not really angry at the wall though, it'sjust that the tennis racket is too heavy.
I think I prefeer tabletennis.

for prolonged periods of time.

Re: Does anyone play Tennis?
You can always play with a child's racket. No shame in it but it might not be the best solution. Or you could start lifting weights lol, not sure, I'm confident that you should be able to find a light commercial racket somewhere in a Target/Walmart/etc.
Also, when practicing on a wall you have total control of where the shots are going, if you hit against the wall lightly then you can practice hitting the ball in the right part of the racket (middle). Wall first, then get lessons/ a friend to feed you balls from a basket to practice your groundstrokes. Once your forehands and backhands become consistent, you're ready to rally and practice serves/volleys/overheads/slices/whatever you like.

Re: Does anyone play Tennis?
I think I'll keep to table tennis. Last time I tried tennis, I hit 4 balls over the security fence around the court,
and missed most of the rest.

Re: Does anyone play Tennis?
Yeah table tennis is pretty fun if you have a table tennis table (?) in your house.. I don't , so I don't play much..
Still, tennis is more fun for me, more exciting and requires more energy

Re: Does anyone play Tennis?
I don't have much energy to spare, so I play table tennis from time to time.
Problem is finding someone to play with, dad prefers chess instead.

Re: Does anyone play Tennis?
Water contains no energy, it only helps the body to transfer food into energy, and
clean up the mess in the body. And I kind of want to stick to table tennis!

Re: Does anyone play Tennis?
Water = Hydration of cells = overall fresh feeling that keeps you alive and focused
To me, water is energy, and it's all the energy I need when playing tennis under the hot/mildly warm sun/humidity.
Lack of energy should not be a problem for someone your age!
Gatorade is perfectly fine as long as it's being used while doing physically draining activities. Don't just drink it because it tastes good. Drink it because you need fluid, carbohydrates, and electrolytes you used up/lost during exercise.

Re: Does anyone play Tennis?
I'm really not good at sports. When I get active, I get warm. When I get warm, I get sick.
I'm very vulnerable to heat, so I try to keep activities and diet on a minimum.

You should keep active. Otherwise you'll grow up to be slow and sluggish.. possibly *Gasp* Fat *End Gasp*
Warmth is natural! You should have no problem with warmth.

Past 10 degrees I feel as if it's cooking. Hence I keep my room at 5 degrees.
