    *grin*
I decided to install some games on my laptop because it have higher
specifications than my desktop. However, I encountered a big problem.
All games run very smoothly on 800x600 resolution, however, the native
    resolution is more like 1024x1000(something).
So I've searched everywhere after this "Stretch to fit screen" command,
but I can't find it anywhere. Not in the BIOS, screen properties or in ATI catalyst
    control center.
The thing is that games run excrutiatingly slow on any higher resolutions, but if
I put the resolution to 800x600, then there will be a giant black border around
a centered image. Basically my computer don't stretch the display to fit my monitor.
Do anyone know how to fix this?
EDIT: Note that I run on windows 7.

I'm not allowed to make phone calls to strangers.
Besides, I'm kind of using a pirate version of windows 7 so it would
be bad to phone someone official.

You could try to change your laptop's display resolution, maybe it would help (try it).

(Don't have Windows 7 yet --Releases October 22-- so I'll tell you how to do it on vista, it should be similar on W7)

Right click desktop, click personalize/properties, display settings, then change resolution to the one with the game, and click accept.

[Try it, not sure if it'll work, but try it and tell me if it helped Smile]

The laptop have a native resolution of 1024x1000 something, that means the screen
is designed to fit that kind of resolution exactly so... when my screen have that
resolution it fits the whole screen. However, I'm not out after filling the screen
because with 1024x the whole computer lags during... well gameplay etc.
It runs smoothly on 800x600, so that's why I want that resolution to be stretched
to fill the screen. However, instead of stretching it, my computer instead think it's a
marvelous idea to put a 800x600 small box in the middle of my screen and ignore
the last 224 pixels. Basically I get a much smaller display.

Why is that? I use a legal key, I just needed the Chinese version to play pirated games.
